The Llyn Coastal Path, North Wales is a way marked long distance footpath around the Llŷn Peninsula (which recently celebrated 50 years as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). Starting from Caernarfon, the 84 mile path makes its way along the north coast to Uwchmynydd, then the southern coast to Porthmadog.

The Glyderau mountain range offers some of the most majestic and inspiring routes in Snowdonia and stretches from Mynydd Llandegai to Capel Curig. Five of Wales' fourteen highest summits (all over 3000 feet) can be found here. Starting with the highest, these include Glyder Fawr (1,001 m), Glyder Fach (994 m), Y Garn (947 m), Elidir Fawr (924 m) and Tryfan (918 m).

Ceiriog Valley Way is a gentle, 12 mile figure of eight route centred on the drovers’ village of Llanarmon Dyffryn Ceiriog in North Wales. It offers a tranquil heaven in the foothills of the Berwyn Mountains.

The Carneddau are a group of mountains in northern Snowdonia, North Wales and includes the largest adjoining areas of high ground in Wales and England. It also includes half the country’s highest peaks, recognised as the Fourteen Peaks (over 3,000 feet / 910 meters).

This Snowdonia walk takes you from Dyffryn Ardudwy to the summits of Y Llethr and Diffwys on the southern part of the Rhinog mountains. 

Abergavenny Abergavenny with 3 mountain peaks in the vicinity is the perfect hub for exploring the expansive Brecon Beacons. The three main peaks The Sugarloaf, the Skirrid and Pen-y-fan also have car parks closer to the summits for those who prefer a shorter climb.

The North Wales Borderlands offers a wealth of relatively undiscovered walks, including Dee Valley Way, North Berwyn Way and Clwydian Way. 

Parys Mountain is located near Amlwch in the north East corner of Anglesey. It is the site of a large copper mine that was extensively exploited in the late 18th century. Its lunar appearance makes for an interesting walk with views of Amlwch Port and a nearby wind farm to add to the mix.

This Betws y Coed walk goes for 5 miles from Gwydir Forest to Pont y Pair Bridge and takes 2-3 hours. Along this route you will experience stunning mountain scenery, plus some of the area’s hidden gems; Llyn Elsi, Ancaster Memorial, Miners Bridge and Pont y Fair bridge.
