Walking in Betws y Coed - Gwydir Forest

This Betws y Coed walk goes for 5 miles from Gwydir Forest to Pont y Pair Bridge and takes 2-3 hours. Along this route you will experience stunning mountain scenery, plus some of the area’s hidden gems; Llyn Elsi, Ancaster Memorial, Miners Bridge and Pont y Fair bridge. 

The first section of this walk will take you steeply up through to the Ancaster Memorial. From there on you will follow paths and tracks around ‘Llyn Elsi’ and the stunning views of the Welsh Valleys are definitely worth seeing. The roman road ‘Sarn Helen’ will then take you to the breathtaking Miners Bridge and then a beautiful stroll along the river will then lead you back into town and onto the spectacular Pont y Pair bridge.
