St Davids
With a population of only 1,797 (2001 census) St Davids, Pembrokeshire Wales is a beautiful and unique city surrounded by some of the finest coastline in Europe. Situated within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park St Davids is surrounded by spectacular coastal scenery renowned for its beauty and abundance of wildlife. St Davids Cathedral has been the dominant presence since the 12th century and was a popular pilgrimage destination throughout the Middle Ages and indeed remains so to this day attracting thousands of visitors every year. Adjacent to the cathedral stand the magnificent ruins of the medieval Bishops Palace. The city of St Davids has a great deal to offer visitor. Many people have fallen to the charm of St Davids including current New Zealand rugby coach Graham Henry who lists St Davids as his favourite place in the World.
