The Summer school holidays are nearly over but that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying some time away. And September is a great time of year to head to Wales with a range of events to enjoy.

With the first school holidays of 2017 just around the corner we’ve pulled together a list of just some of the events taking place in Wales.

In September Sue one of the Best of Wales staff ventured to the Abergavenny Food Festival for a foodie adventure. The Festival which is one of the biggest food festivals in Europe has an amazing atmosphere to experience and explore.

The weekend of the 18th – 20th of November is a great time of the year to visit West Wales and join in the celebrations throughout the town of Llandeilo with their annual Llandeilo Festival of the Senses.  

With the summer holidays soon approaching we thought we’d give you a taster of the summer events coming your way.

On the 3rd of August as part of the National Eisteddfod for Wales a Golf Competition will be held at Monmouthshire Golf Club.

Yes it’s back! The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series returns to Pembrokeshire in 2016. After a 3 year absence from the UK the Blue Lagoon, Abereiddy in Pembrokeshire will once again welcome back the best of the best to compete here in Wales
