Description

Experience 5-star comfort at this wonderful retreat in West Wales countryside. With a private hot tub, woodburner, ensuite bedrooms and plenty of style inside and out, there are many reasons why guests choose to return to this cottage time and time again. Set within 3.5 acres of grounds, separate and secluded from the owners' house, it enjoys its own enclosed, tranquil garden (ideal for children and dogs). Walking distance to the village pub, cafe and small shop at Pont-rhyd-y-groes.

A great base to discover the culturally rich landscape of West Wales, from mountains and waterfalls to Strata Florida abbey, a narrow gauge railway and the famous three bridges built on top of each other at Devils Bridge. You might also recognise some scenes from the Hinterland series as you explore the area. The Cardigan Bay coastline (accessed 15 miles away at Aberystwyth) offers a great range of long, sandy beaches - 11 of which allow dogs all year round and a further 24 at certain times of the year.

Ground Floor

A large, open plan living room occupies the whole ground floor area. Windows and patio doors frame the surrounding greenery and allow plenty of natural daylight to flow in.

Contemporary, modern kitchen - fully equipped, including an electric range master, slow cooker and microwave, fridge/freezer and Nesspresso coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine. A large dining table takes centre stage with views out to the patio and garden.

The stylish lounge area invites you to relax on sumptuous sofas and cuddle chair in front of the woodburner and Smart TV with DVD and full Sky package. Complimentary use of a 10 inch tablet with subscriptions to a wide choice of magazines and The Times newspaper daily and at weekends.

Ground floor cloakroom with WC and wash hand basin.

Reviews

Thank you for your hospitality we really enjoyed our stay in this lovely, tranquil cottage. Everything has been thought of to make it a real home from home. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful. Would recommend the Hafod Estate for walkers and Aberystwyth for a day out + a good choice of shops.

Previous Customer,

We knew it would be perfect here as this is our 3rd stay, and not the last. You both go way beyond what is expected, and are always thinking of other ways to make this the perfect stay. Thank you for the gifts. We have had such a lovely holiday - peaceful, beautiful weather and amazing scenery. Can't wait to come back. Thank you both so much.

Amy and S,

What a wonderful cottage! We have loved our stay here, so relaxing and peaceful. You've thought of everything. Max loved his gifts - the squeaky cake is his favourite. We can recommend the Lime Crab at new Quay for fish and chips, very doggy friendly too! Thanks for a lovely holiday. x x

Previous Customer,

Previous Customer,

This is our second visit to the cottage - it never disappoints. Cherry said thanks Joseph + Karl for her gifts and it's just the small touches that make it special. Cottage stunning as always - what more could you want. Stunning area, fantastic hosts. As always we will recommend and see you again soon. Good tip for fish and chips - south pier at Aberystwyth. Thank you X

Previous Customer,

Karl and Joseph, Where do I start! Thank you both so much for a much needed break in an amazing cottage with beautiful surroundings. Our dog Daisy was very appreciative too! The hot tub was a god send after a very long journey as was the wine :-) Thank you also for the balloons I requested for my partner's birthday, again, very much appreciated.

Previous Customer,

Karl and Joseph, You have an amazing cottage in a beautiful setting. The dog treats on arrival were a wonderful added extra along with all the other details. The hot tub is lush and the is breathtaking. Oscar has enjoyed his wet walks and pub and doesn't want to go home. Although he really needs a bath! This was a much needed break, we needed to recharge our batteries. Will def be recommending to family and friends. Thank you!! X
