Reviews

Fantastic hosts, incredible accommodation and location…. Really really wonderful

Mrs W,

Lovely stay. Host very helpful and responsive. Hot tub large and hot even in December. Horse and bird watching from all the windows. Working farm, being your wellies/outdoor shoes

Mrs B,

Good fields really

Mr E,

Lovely set up, in a ideal location for us. The owners were friendly and left us to enjoy ourselves.

Mr Q,

Great week staying in the silo - lucky to have lots of sunshine. Owner friendly and great location for coastal walks. Having Morrisons just a field’s walk away was handy. Loved the hot tub too. Lots of good pubs and restaurants a short drive away.

Ms C,

Lovely cottage and location, we have a great holiday!

Mrs S,

Unique and comfortable place to stay. The location is excellent with the local supermarket only 5 mins walk away. The Red Lion pub is also very closeby and provides good food and drink. The property provides a wonderful hot tub plus BBQ facilities. The owners are nice and friendly and offered advice on local walks. The accommodation provides excellent self catering facilities, hot shower, free WIFI and smart TV. The stairs to bedroom are a little steep but that's part of the unique design. There is adequate heating should the weather not be so good and fans in case of a hot spell. Very enjoyable stay would recommend.

Mrs S,

Lovely property, very quiet location perfect to relax. The hot tub was ready for our arrival which was great. Couldn't find the hairdryer but a quick text to the owner and they sorted one of theirs for me to borrow as the previous people had pinched the original one! Lovely welcome pack of cakes and Welsh cakes and a little bottle of milk. The bed was comfy and there are plenty of blankets as it does get chilly at night. It does get super warm when the sun is out but there are plenty of fans and once you open the doors and windows it soon cools down. Was great to have an oven and microwave and a big fridge freezer so we could have meals in rather then eat out all the time. The nearest big supermarket is morrisons which is 30 mins away by car in Aberystwyth however there is a nisa just a 5 minute walk across the horse field which had a really good selection of stuff. Abaeraron is a 2 mile walk, it's a nice walk, you can't really walk down the main a437 as there's no path however if you follow the path as far as you can then take a right through the houses there's a path all the way into town, it's not for the faint hearted lol it is a very steep slope for around half a mile. New quay is a 10 minute drive away, it's very small but very pretty. The owners are very welcoming and the views from the silo balcony are beautiful with just the horses as neighbours. Considering its on a working livery farm the noise of tractors didn't bother us at all and it wasn't all day every day either.

Mrs S,

The property is lovely, the owner very friendly. Even though the property is adjacent to the other cottages and farmhouse, they’ve designed it to be very private. Staircase is very steep and narrow though so anyone with mobility issues may find this a problem.

Mr H,

Lovely quirky stay.

Miss C,

Gorgeous stay, we loved our 5 day break at the silo with our dog. The working farm has lovely animals, sea views & beautiful scenery. You wouldn’t believe it’s a working farm, the noise isn’t noticeable. The hot tub is private which is great. 10 minutes drive either way to the nearby coastal towns. The silo its self is lovely, has everything you need, very cosy & comfortable. Would recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful retreat.

Mr H,

Absolutely outstanding place to stay. The silo was beautiful and cosy with a lovely addition of welcome welsh goodies.
