Reviews

Very rural setting. Impressive barn conversion. Interior finished to a great spec. Lovely open space for lounge/diner with spectacular views. Very good well equipped kitchen. Bedrooms excellent with great on suites. Courtyard with nice jacuzzi and plenty of seats.

Mr P,

Would highly recommend

Mrs K,

Had the most amazing time, we were 6 friends and the accommodation was perfect, hot tub was amazing, if you’re going I’d suggest you’d take robes for the hot tub as they’re not supplied. Kitchen fully equipped but would benefit a coffee machine too. Would definitely recommend. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Mrs C,

The fabulous views and very large living dining and kitchen area made it a an absolute pleasure to stay in the barn. The hot tub and fire pit were lovely to use in the evening. We had mixed weather but it didn't impact on our stay at all. It was very relaxing!!

Mrs H,

Good place. Very clean. Enjoyed our stay.

Mr T,

This is an amazing property - there is plenty of space, well equipped and a great hot tub with music and lights The location is beautiful, quiet but not far out of usk on the side of a hill with a lovely picture window overlooking the view The owners live next door but were discreet and helpful I would definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back

Miss G,

Map

This is a detached cottage located on a small holding in the Usk Valley. The owner lives in the old farmhouse across the courtyard. The lovely market town of Usk is only 2.2 miles away. A small market town along the banks of the river Usk there are several local independent shops and some great places to eat out including  57 Bridge Street, a local deli, bar and kitchen.  Usk Castle overlooks the town and has a great historic significance in Wales as it was once occupied by Welsh hero Owain Glyndwr. The town was virtually burned to the ground in 1403 in the battle of Usk.  Around the area there are many other castles including the magnificent Raglan, so well preserved it has been used in many films, and Chepstow Castle on the banks of the river Wye.

For some retail therapy, Cardiff, Newport, Bristol and Bath are all easily accessible via the M4. Cardiff is just over half an hour away and  has a lot to offer. It holds many sporting and musical events each year at the Principality Stadium, Millennium Centre, St Davids Hall and the Cardiff City Stadium. Similarly you can also get to Cribs Causeway in Bristol in around 30 mins in the other direction.
