Description

Nestled down a quiet country lane, amongst 14 hectares of upland fields with fine valley views towards Cwm Pennant and Cwmystradllyn sits the idyllic Ynys Pandy. The Georgian farmhouse has been sympathetically restored throughout whilst still retaining many of its charming features. such as the exposed wooden beams, rustic stone fireplaces and tiled floors. Catch up with family and friends by the warming glow of the wood burner in the lounge and cook up a storm in the country-style kitchen before enjoying your meals around the large dining table in the light-flooded conservatory. Providing comfortable accommodation for up to 6 Adults and 2 children, the property is complete with 4 lovingly-styled bedrooms, a family bathroom with walk-in shower and bath as well as a separate cloakroom. The large enclosed lawned garden with wooden swing set, rope ladder, climbing rope and garden games is the perfect spot for dogs and young children to safely blow off some steam and the picnic table is a lovely spot to enjoy your lunch in the sunshine. The owners live in the small annexe next door but Ynys Pandy has a very private feel to it.

Situated on the outskirts of Snowdonia National Park, just a few miles north of Cardigan Bay with the breath-taking sights across The Llyn Peninsula and Anglesey within driving distance, you really can experience the best of both coast and countryside at Ynys Pandy. Visit the historical ruins of Criccieth Castle and explore the caves and rock pools at Black Rock Sands or stroll along the Wales Coastal Path to nearby Porthmadog, discovering the secluded Samson's Bay and summit of Moel y Gest along the way. For convenience, the local village of Tremadog (birthplace of Lawrence of Arabia) is around 2 miles from the farmhouse and home to Y Sgwar restaurant, The Golden Fleece in and a SPAR shop. Slightly further afield, experience some truly thrilling days out at the Zip World sites dotted throughout Snowdonia National Park, where you can zip-line over abandoned quarries, bounce through a disused mine and discover new heights along a tree-top course. Other nearby attractions include Ffestiniong Highland Railway, Portmeirion's enchanting Italianate style village and Glasfryn Parc Activity Centre.

Reviews

Absolutely delightful cottage very comfortable and cosy. Accommodated 6 adults 2 children and a Labrador with plenty of room. Lovely views of farmland plenty of parking and lovely big garden. Highly recommend a stay here owners very friendly, helpful and generous.

Ms B,

Wonderful cottage. Loved the vintage books and lovely needle craft items made by the owner. Can’t fault this property. This particular part of Wales is beautiful in the autumn

Ms Da C,

Absolutely wonderful stay at the cottage, warm, welcoming and friendly. Lovely to be greeted on arrival, ideal for questions. Gorgeous little touches such as Welsh cakes and a tea set so we could have a cuppa and treat after our journey. The kitchen had everything you'd need but without feeling cluttered. All the bedrooms are nicely considered with the matching colours and gorgeous wool blankets. Made use of the wood burning stove on the one wet blustery day, but didn't need it for warmth as the heating kept the cottage toasty. Enjoyed sitting in the conservatory on the beautiful sunny days. Fabulous to look out at the grazing sheep and be surrounded by fields. Only thing to note is that the bathroom/toilets are downstairs but we didn’t fine this a problem.

Mrs M,

Owners very helpful and friendly on arrival and great to have some local knowledge. The kitchen was very well equipped and the boot room perfect for our four legged friends after walks!

Mrs P,

We had a lovely stay at Ynys Pandy and the owners were lovely. Even though they live next door in the annexe they had the perfect balance of being available if we needed anything but not being intrusive in any way. The house is lovely and the garden was perfect for us and our husky. Even though there were sheep in the field at the end of the garden it was very secure and she couldn’t get out. Can’t say it would be impossible for any dog to jump or escape but should stop all but the most determined pooches. House was well equipped and comfortable with a lovely conservatory. We had the best weather and spent lots of time in the garden when not exploring the local area. The house is excellently placed for visiting Snowdon, Portmeirion, Abersoch, Barmouth, Beddgelert, Anglesey and many more. Beautiful area, lovely house, great value and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Mrs P,

Lovely comfy cottage with everything we needed.

Dr F,

Lovely, home from home, equipped with everything you need to actually self cater - a lot are not - including a cupboard full of toys for the children to play with. Definitely reccomend this cottage.

Mrs P,

A comfortable and generously equipped, attractive holiday home with an excellent garden and in an ideal location to make the most of the area's many places of interest.

Mr G,

Spotlessly clean, comfortable house, well equipped, friendly, inobtrusive owners.

Mr H,

We had a really lovey stay at Ynys Pandy. A cosy but spacious cottage with a private garden. Would highly recommend.

Mr C,

Cottage was very clean, cosy and well equipped with everything we needed. Great place to spend holidays with kids (outdoor swings, board games, toys). Really good quality towels and beddings. It is very quiet around the cottage so we had such a great sleep. We loved the garden and views over the fields. I would definitely go again!

Mrs S,
