Set on a working farm amongst the rolling hills between Dolgellau and Bala, Sgubor y Gader features an attractive open plan living area with modern fitted kitchen, comfortable seating and dining area for up to 4 people. The king bedroom is complete with ample storage and sofa bed and the colourful bathroom is well-appointed with both bath and shower. To the front of the property, there's a lovely patio area that's perfect for a spot of al fresco dining or an evening of star-gazing. On a clear day, enjoy far-reaching views out towards Aran Fawddwy, Aran Benllyn, Rhobell Fawr and Cadair Idris mountain ranges.
With a number of trails on your doorstep and the historic town of Dolgellau just 6 miles by car, the cottage is perfectly located for walking and cycling enthusiasts. Home to wonderful local pubs, eateries and stores, Dolgellau and the surrounding area boasts a brilliant selection of popular walking and cycling routes including Precipice Walk, Mawddach Trail and Coed y Brenin Forest. For watersport enthusiasts, the market town of Bala (13mi) is well worth the visit. Wales' biggest lake, Llyn Tegid, is placed at its centre and great for fishing, canoeing, kayaking or sailing and the fast-flowing waters at the National White Water Centre provide the ideal conditions for rafting. For an exciting adventure, take a trip to Blaenau Ffestiniog (30mi) and discover the numerous local activities such as Ffestiniog Railway and Zip World Slate Caverns. The beaches at Barmouth and Fairbourne are around 15 miles from the cottage as well as the remains of Harlech Castle, a magnificent coastal fortress just 30 minutes drive away.
