Reviews

Overall the accommodation is Cosy for two people and adequate. We had few treats on arrival which was a nice welcome. The lady was helpful The owner was helpful about places to see and things to do . The bed was very comfortable and the flat was nice and warm when it’s cold and damp The Seatee wasn’t that comfortable and seem to sag on the right side of cushion. As it was rated 5* we didn’t expect to be asked to empty the bins and remove sheets from the bed. Normally this is not expected of you at 5*. There is a nice pub nearby for Sunday dinners. Overall. a nice holiday.

Mrs C,

We really enjoyed our stay in "Y Dowlod" at Gelli Goch. The properties here are in an excellent location for visiting the southern region of Snowdonia National Park and the Mawddach estuary, we didn't need to drive far to get anywhere and some days walked directly from the property. We liked the design and feel of the interior of our converted loft with the solid wooden flooring and slate worktops. It is cosy for two and was always warm when returning from a day out on the hills, it was even nicer to know that the place was heated and powered with a green energy system - even the toilet flushed with harvested rainwater! The mattress was a little hard for us but that might just be personal preference. Very friendly hosts and the welcome pack of goodies was a nice touch.

Miss M,

Great central location for walkers

Mr S,

This is a great location for Dolgellau and Barmouth (south) and Criccieth, and Harlech (north then west). Plus easy access to the south sides of Snowdon. Very nice, compact and easy flat to stay

Mr W,

Comfortable, well equipped and cosy cottage even if the weather is poor. Good location for visiting much of the Snowdonia national park or even further afield such as Anglesey or the RSPB reserve at Ynys-Hir

Dr W,

Location perfect, lovely hosts, will definitely come again and book the other cottage,

Miss P,
