Reviews

One of the best cottages we have stayed at. There was everything you needed there . We had a great time and are two border collies did too the garden was very safe for them. we would book again to stay there as we liked it so much.

Miss P,

Good location with lovely views. A very well equipped and cosy cottage, lots of space for 6 adults and the dogs, would highly recommend

Mrs R,

Lovely spacious accommodation which has a high standard of cleanliness. Very comfortable with a nice fully enclosed garden to keep our dog safe! The kitchen is very well equipped and the view from the front of the property is nice. There is a pleasant walk down the lane opposite the property that leads to an area by a river for those with dogs!

Mrs L,

very well presented house and garden friendly and helpful owners next door marvellous location with fantastic views we all enjoyed our stay

Mr S,

Beautiful cottage, lovely location, every thing we needed for our holiday

Miss B,

Lovely cottage, well equipped, fabulous views. Only gave a 4 for location as quite near the main road. Due to the elevated position the road did not spoil our enjoyment.

Mrs De C,

This is a lovely property in a very quiet area. A car is essential for visiting places of interest as there is nothing in the village itself. The property was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. A welcome pack with teabags, milk and a couple of biscuits would have been nice after our long trip. This is something we usually experience when we stay at a property. As there wasn’t one we had to immediately travel out to find a shop.

Mrs R,

Wonderful cottage and owners highly recommended. Thank you.

Mr S,

Very clean and tidy cottage.would highly recommend this property great conservatory giving you that extra space.owner very helpful and friendly

Miss H,

Lovely property in a beautiful location with views across the Snowdonia Mountain Range. Good position within easy reach of the coast and North West Wales. The property is very well equipped and plenty of room for a party of four. Wi-Fi and TV reception was excellent and we had a very comfortable and enjoyable few days.

Mr C,

This detached Dolgellau accommodation is set within its own grounds. With its own drive and enclosed garden it offers a very private setting and enjoys great mountain views.

Located above the the village of Llanelltyd, it is only 2 miles from the centre of Dolgellau – a lovely market town in southern Snowdonia. It is also just half a mile from Bwyty Mawddach, one of the highly recommended restaurants in the area, which is also a lovely setting for some relaxing drinks. Another great bonus is that your Dolgellau accommodation is just 8 miles from the Blue Flag sandy beach at Barmouth.

There are plenty of interesting shops, great cafes, pubs and restaurants in Dolgellau. It is also the town with the most listed buildings in Wales. For amazing cakes and free wifi, visit T.H.Roberts’ Parliament House, or eat out at Meirionydd and Dylanwad Da. George III at Penmaenpool is another recommended restaurant just 2 miles from your Dolgellau accommodation. For a quiet drink, Unicorn in town is a lovely setting.

Amongst the best attractions in the area you have the world renowned Coed Y Brenin Mountain Biking Centre and the Go Ape High Wire Course (4 miles). Also within 20 miles, at Blaenau Ffestiniog, is the largest underground trampoline in Europe (Bounce Below) and an exhilarating Zip Wire ride. For watersports, Bala (19 miles) is home to the largest natural lake in Wales and also the National White Water Rafting Centre.

For calmer days out, there are some magnificent mountain and coastal walks in the area and some of the main ones are listed below. Starting from Dolgellau, The Mawddach Trail is one of the most popular - a 9 mile riverside trail all the way to the coast at Barmouth that can be walked or cycled. The sandy beaches at Barmouth and Fairbourne are also perfect for relaxing. Other great days out from this Dolgellau accommodation include Harlech Castle’s World Heritage site, Talyllyn narrow gauge railway, King Arthur’s Labyrinth and Corris Craft Centre.
