Description

Spacious, converted chapel enjoying a prime position in the centre of this stunning and tranquil Snowdonia valley, called Cwm Maethlon (Happy Valley). Close to the North Wales coast and mountains, with Tywyn (3.5 miles) and Aberdyfi (5.5 miles) both offering beautiful stretches of golden sand and plenty of amenities. The traditional characteristics of the chapel have been sympathetically combined with modern features, including 3 en suite bedrooms with TVs, to provide a home from home retreat. With a whole field as your garden, this is also the perfect setting for a holiday with children and / or dogs.

Nestled on a quiet country lane, this semi-detached property offers numerous scenic walks from the doorstep, including Panorama Walk, which takes you directly to Aberdyfi with its seaside cafes, restaurants etc, in less than 3.5 miles. Enjoy a spectacular drive to the foot of Cader Idris mountain, passing Castell y Bere castle en route. Catch a steam train ride from Tywyn to Tal-y-llyn or take the coastal Cambrian Railway line - south to Aberdyfi and Machynlleth, or north for days out in Barmouth, Harlech and Pwllheli. Other popular attractions nearby include the Magic Lantern Cinema, the Centre for Alternative Technology, Corris Craft Centre and King Arthur's Labyrinth, to only mention a few.

Reviews

Very well equipped cottage in an excellent location. Good coffee machine was a big plus for us. Dog loved the huge field to run in and hard flooring throughout was easy to keep tidy. Rhian’s delicious baked scones were a lovely treat. We would definitely recommend your spot!

Mrs T,

Excellent property which is very well equipped. Good quiet location but not too far from amenities'. Good base to explore Mid-Wales from.

Mr G,

This converted chapel was fantastic. The road is very quiet and it is about a ten or twelve minute drive to the nearest supermarket in Tywyn. The kitchen is particularly well equipped and all the rooms were very comfortable as were the beds. Thank you for your hospitality.

Mr B,

The house was very well equipped and spacious, while still being both cosy and homely. The owners have done an excellent job of converting the chapel into a great holiday home. The owner was very welcoming and very helpful during our stay. The welcome pack was greatly appreciated. The children and dog loved running in the field over the road. It's a beautiful, peaceful location. Whilst being in a relatively isolated position, local beaches and towns are in easy reach. We've been to the area many times and have never run out of things to do.

Mr T,

Beautiful accommodation set in a wonderful picturesque location. The welcome pack was very much appreciated after a long journey. Many thanks.
