Description
A beautiful, detached farmhouse and a fantastic destination in itself. From the hot tub and games room, to the bar and play area, not many cottages provide such an excellent range of facilities on site. Add to that the true tranquility and a magnificent, panoramic view, from the North Wales coastline across to the Clwydian Hills, with Denbigh castle dominating the landscape. This really is an idyllic place to get away from it all, to enjoy time together and relax in style.
Ground Floor
Kitchen and adjacent dining area/breakfast room - Large, practical and fully fitted kitchen with all modern conveniences, including a dishwasher, fridge and freezer, electric hob and oven. There is also a breakfast bar and USB charging points. Adjacent eating area with a wooden floor featuring a large pine table and pine benches.
Dining room - A welcoming room featuring a large oak dining table for 8 and wall-mounted TV. Original features including an inglenook with decorative stove and oak beam. Superb views of the garden, of Denbigh castle, the Clwydian Hills and the coastline.
Lounge - Cosy, comfortable and relaxing seating area for five to six people. Large flat-screen TV and original features including the slate floor and oak beams above the doors. Stone fireplace surround with an electric wood-burning effect stove.
Conservatory - Large relaxing space with comfortable seating for eight. Extensive views of the coastline, the Clwydian Hills and nearby Denbigh castle. Access to the garden and barbecue/outside food-preparation area, outside dining area and covered hot-tub.
Bedroom 1 - Double bed with views of the south-facing garden and fields. Two bedside units, lamps, USB charging and wardrobe.
Shower room - Adjacent to bedroom with hand-basin and lighted mirror above, WC and electric power shower.
Utility room - Practical space for storing footwear and outdoor clothing. Includes a sink, washing machine and additional fridge for food and drink.
Upstairs
Bedroom 2 - Main bedroom with double bed, bedside tables an lamps and large comfortable window seat with cushions to enjoy the panoramic views. Stone wall, feature fireplace, oak chest of drawers and chair with handcrafted woven rope seat. High, vaulted ceiling and walk-in wardrobe featuring a full-length mirror.
Ensuite Bathroom - South facing en-suite bathroom with wash basin and illuminated mirror with integral Bluetooth speakers above. P-shaped bath with shower above, WC and heated towel rail.
Bedroom 3 - Inviting king bed (or two 2'6" single beds on request), once again, featuring an amazing view. High, vaulted ceiling with beams, large chest of drawers, storage shelves and a wide window seat with cushions.
Bedroom 4 - Small but comfortable bedroom with bunk beds and practical shelving units and a wardrobe. Bedside lamps, USB charging and south-facing views.
Shower room - Modern amenities including a toilet and shower, and a wash-basin with lighted mirror cabinet above.
Garden
The large, enclosed outdoor area is a delight with plenty to keep guests of all ages entertained.
Garden and views - Large front and back garden with established shrubs and flowerbeds as well as a large lawn provide a quiet, peaceful setting with extensive views of the northern coastline, Clwydian hills and valley, including Denbigh Castle.
Hot Tub - The deep six seater Hot Tub sits under a roofed area in a secluded part of the garden, where you can enjoy a glass of bubbly whilst relaxing and looking at the wonderful views of the Vale of Clwyd and amazing sunsets. This area also has an outdoor shower area with hot water. Two large silver birch trees also provide a romantic setting.
Decking area - An extensive framed decking area ensures a practical space for outdoor dining which includes 2 benches and a collapsible table to seat 10. Ideal for a shady lunch or to see the sun set. A handcrafted arbour provides a cosy and secluded retreat as well as storage for outdoor toys (provided) and there is also a lovers chair with integral table and a wine/beer cooler.
Patio area - Steps lead onto patio area in front of conservatory and then to a lit roofed area which has a Gas BBQ with an option to cook pizzas on a hot stone, a double sink with hot and cold running water. Large dining area with a handcrafted wooden table and two benches to seat 10 and one hanging chair complete with mood lighting and flood lights.
Games room / Bar - An outbuilding with heating provides extra space for entertaining; a games room with a pool table, and a second outside kitchen/bar featuring a sink, with hot and cold water, a fridge for drinks, a combination oven (oven, grill, microwave oven, plastic glasses for the hot-tub, collapsible table and a wine rack.) There is also Bluetooth available in the games room so you can stream your favourite songs.
Play area - The bar counter and stools provide the perfect setting for pre-meal drinks and keeping an eye on the children whilst they play in the large play area which includes three different swings and a climbing frame.
A fairy glen is partly hidden in the south-facing part of the garden - ‘stepping stones’ in wood lead to a ‘toadstool’ table and stools and the fairy glen - a setting which will enchant all who discover the secret place. Nearby, a bug hotel is situated in a hidden corner behind the outbuildings, surrounded by gooseberry and blackcurrant bushes and bracken. Other original features include a hedgehog den under a large holly tree, and two bird-tables – all ensuring plenty of wildlife.
There is also a small back patio which catches the morning sun and is of traditional blue slate with a circular picnic table seating eight - ideal for morning coffee.
