Reviews

Beautiful cottage, lovely decorated, the location was lovely. Great walks close by and a pub in walking distance up the hill, and the hot tub topped it off.

Miss B,

Beautiful location and perfect for walking the dog in the woodlands and fields right on your doorstep. Hot tub was a winner with the kids and the garden is secure for the dog. Log burner was such a treat it really did make the holiday special. The only gripe is the beds were small and uncomfy but we do have a tempur at home so that might be why. The kitchen really does need a large fridge as we struggled to fit a weeks family food shop in there which was annoying.

Miss W,

Perfect get away for my dad’s 60th. A week of pure relaxation! Even had some snow! That view with the snow was just unbelievable. The barn is stunning and the owners have thought of everything, we couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Mrs J,

Beautiful cottage. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Not very much wood for the fire but the lounge was so warm that we only had to buy one extra lot. The bedding was lovely as was the comfort of the beds. The hot tub was really clean and so relaxing looking at the stunning view. We visited Montgomery, Welshpool, Ludlow and Shrewsbury....all lovely. The Castle Hotel in Bishops Castle is dog friendly and the food was delicious.

Miss D,

This is one of the best places we have ever stayed and will be back.

Mr H,

What a beautiful cottage Camlad Barn is. So well equipped as well. Everything we needed was there. Nice little touch of hair dryers and torches in every bedroom. The amazing hot tub is one of the highlights of the property and is checked daily by one of the team. The location is just stunning and so quiet and relaxing. So much wildlife surrounds you! If you want some time away from busy fast paced life you should definitely give Camlad Barn a visit. We loved the local Miners Arm for pizza night as well. Definitely need a car to get around if you have limited mobility but beautiful walks in the surrounding areas and local Marington Estate. Our dog loved his time away with us and it was brilliant that he could come with us and enjoy the wonderful enclosed garden.

Miss M,

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful luxury barn with six friends and one very happy dog! The location was perfect – set in a peaceful, quiet area that offered the ultimate getaway from the hustle and bustle. The barn itself was stunning, blending rustic charm with modern comforts, and spacious enough for all of us to relax and unwind. One of the highlights was the lovely walk to the local pub, where we enjoyed drinks. The surrounding countryside provided scenic walking routes, making it perfect for both us and our dog, who loved exploring the open spaces. Overall, it was the perfect retreat for a weekend of relaxation and fun with friends. We would definitely return!

Miss I,

Absolutely amazing. I am tempted to give Camlad Barn a poor review, only in the hope others don’t book and it is more available for my wife and I to return but that would be unfair and selfish. The setting of the property is outstanding with amazing views. It was immaculately clean and is equipped with everything that you would need. A large outdoor area to relax in with a lovely enclosed garden, pretty sitting area, separate allocated parking and hot tub which again, was immaculate and cleaned daily. The inside of the property is both spacious and very stylishly decorated and furnished. All the staff we came in contact with were incredibly friendly and gave excellent advise of local places to visit of which are many. If you want a fast paced, stressed, busy holiday with lots of people, vehicles and buildings this is not for you. If you want the absolute opposite, it is perfect. I can not recommend Camlad Barn enough and we cannot wait to go back. Oh, our 14 year old collie absolutely loved it as well.

Mr R,

This is a beautifully appointed holiday cottage in a delightful peaceful setting. Comfortable beds, high quality bedding and towels (including extra towels for the hot tub) were much appreciated. The croquet set got lots of use as did swingball. The garden was secure, not overlooked and afforded lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The EV charging point was a great plus for us too. There is lots to see and do locally and lovely walks from the door. Several of our party enjoyed a tour of a nearby vineyard. A peaceful family holiday was enjoyed by all of us in this lovely property.

Mrs W,

This property is absolutely stunning. It’s in a great location, totally private. The garden is perfect for outdoor dining and socialising, you really couldn’t get a more perfect space. The property is decorated to the highest of standards, and even when full would be spacious. This really is a treat, and you won’t be disappointed. We had a fabulous stay and will be back at the first opportunity.

Miss W,

Wonderful cottage in a great location. Beautiful scenery and amazing cottage facilities. Literally nothing I can say to improve the cottage or the gardens - you have thought of everything.
