Description
Cosy and romantic cottage for 2 located on a working farm in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The nearest village is just a mile away where you will find 2 great local country pubs. There are many walks, cycle paths and lanes that can be joined directly from the cottage, ensuring you can be as active as you like, or of course you can just relax, enjoy the glorious views, surroundings and spend time out in the countryside. The cottage includes a half mile stretch of private salmon and trout fishing on the River Usk, making it the ideal location for the keen fisherman. This is the perfect cottage for 2 in the Brecon Beacons.
Ground Floor
Open plan kitchen/diner area with comfy sofas, table and chairs, TV, DVD's and a selection of books and games.

This romantic cottage adjoins a larger farmhouse and is situated on a working farm in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The remote farm is just 1 mile from the village of Defynnog which boasts 2 great local pubs, The Tanners and the Old Yew Tree. It is also home to the International Welsh Rarebit Centre that serves excellent food. Sennybridge, a village on the river Usk, is also nearby. It has a convenience store, post office, garage and several pubs.
The market town of Brecon is around 8 miles away with some great shops selling local produce. The boathouse on the River Usk is a popular location for hiring pedalos and rowing boats. It is also the starting point of the Taff Trail, a 56 mile cycle path that leads all the way down to Cardiff.
The Brecon Beacons National Park was the first in the UK to achieve Geopark status as part of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network. It is also an official Dark Sky reserve, and on a clear night, you will be amazed at the wonder of night sky, thanks to almost zero light pollution. Attractions in the area including the spectacular Ystradfellte Waterfalls, the Brecon Mountain Railway and Dan yr Ogof Caves
Cardiff is around 40 miles away and a very popular destination. From sporting events at the stadium to the great shopping, it has something for everyone.
