Reviews

Perfect cottage in a beautiful location. Had everything we needed for a great weekend away.

Mrs C,

A lovely location, the cottage was warm and comfy and a great base for exploring the locality.

Mr H,

The cottage was wonderful and a very high standard. Comfortable bedrooms and rooms In a lovely part of Wales. We will be coming back.

Mrs N,

We loved our stay at Dan y Comin! Marion was really friendly and welcoming. We had a minor issue and she came over within 10 minutes and got it all fixed. The cottage was perfect for us to stay - 2 adults, a baby and a dog. There was plenty of space and it was really handy having the travel cot and high chair provided. The area is really quiet which helped us to relax and feel like we had a proper break. Will definitely rebook if we're back in the area in future!!

Miss B,

I can’t recommend stay at Dan-Y-Comin highly enough the host was so kind so helpful she left us a beautiful welcome slice of cake and couldn’t of been more friendly she had thought of everything the cottage is stunning full of cosy beds and blankets comfy sofas my dog loved it there are amazing walks nearby and in the surrounding areas everyone we met was welcoming friendly helpful we had a fabulous stay everything I wanted it to be

Miss S,

What a beautiful place! So happy we found it for our time exploring the Brecon Beacons. Check in was easy and Marion was so welcoming. She even made us a lovely cake for arrival, which was delicious. The accommodation is dog friendly with a secure gated garden. Dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms. Wish we had stayed longer.

Mrs M,

This was brilliant location and property. The owner Marion, was an absolute godsend. She recommended so many fantastic places to visit, especially the pub,The Shoemakers Arms,is well worth a visit. The area is absolutely stunning and so many walks. People very friendly.

Mr H,

We had such an amazing time away. The weather was perfect but it would have been great in bad weather too. Marion was so friendly and helpful with her recommendations. The property is spacious and perfect for 2 couples or family. The dogs loved the fenced in garden and we spent most afternoons enjoying the sun sat at the garden table surrounded by fields and fresh air. We will definitely be back, it had everything we needed and the local walks were incredible.

Mrs B,

Fantastic holiday home for the week. Perfect for a family. So much space, amazing cake on arrival :-) The cottage is central to everything you’ll need and places to go in the Brecon Beacons/Black Mountains. Stargazing was great too on the couple of clear nights we had. Marion was very accommodating and on the end of a text if needed. Hopefully will return in the future.

Mrs H,

Highly recommend Dan Y Comin, we had the nicest week here, host was excellent and provided everything we needed and was super helpful with recommendations. The cottage itself is well designed with lots of comfortable seating for everyone, lovely ensuite bedrooms with very soft bedding. And the downstairs bathroom was heaven!! I soaked in the massive bath for ages!

Ms H,

Fabulous property and wonderful location. Really enjoyed our stay, and hope to book to stay again.

Mrs P,

Really lovely cottage in perfect quiet location with super kind and considerate host. Great facilities and outside space. Only 10 min drive to walk Pen Y Fan (our objective for the trip) and 10 mins to lovely food at Three Horseshoes, Groesfford. Lovely walks from the door too. Would recommend very highly.

Mrs A,

We chose this cottage as we wanted somewhere quiet for our 2 rescues. The location was perfect, very rural, surrounded by fields. The house is lovely, very spacious with beautiful bedrooms. We asked the owner if our dogs could use the neighbouring field, she agreed, and our dogs had a wonderful time chasing each other in the long grass, they had a fantastic time. Would definitely recommend

Mr D,

Beautiful accommodation, gorgeous location. Short drive to amenities. Would stay again!

Mrs M,

Our second stay, so we knew what to expect! So well located and relaxing. Just the right size for a family of five. So spacious that you can dry all your walking gear downstairs, ready for the next day’s adventure. Couldn’t ask for more.

Mrs W,

We had a great time visiting Wales and staying at Dan y Comin. The property is lovely and spacious, well finished, looked after and clean. The host provided some great suggestions for walks and food in the local area and was a a joy to interact with (should you choose to). The property is close to many of the best walks in the National Park. Would thoroughly recommend to friends, families and dog owners alike.

Mr E,

This is a lovely property in a beautiful location. Very roomy, well equipped and furnished. Amazing ground floor bathroom! Owner very welcoming and helpful. Looking forward to staying again in the spring/summer as the only downside was 2 of the 3 days we were there were very wet!

Mrs W,

Had a wonderful break at Dan Y Comin once again. I think it was our fifth visit. Excellent for our dog. The property is pretty much all one level, it has a very secure enclosed garden and there is a local common which is great for dog walking just 1 minutes away on foot. Nice updates to the shower rooms too. Going back again at New Year!

Mr S,

The surrounding countryside is spectacular with red-kites often seen swooping through the air, and the river Usk (renowned for its salmon) flows only a few hundred yards away.  In Sennybridge, there are general stores, a few pubs and a garage.
