Description

This impeccably finished home is tucked away in the village of Llanarthney, nestled within the scenic landscapes of Carmarthenshire, Wales. Enveloped by greenery and undulating hills in the picturesque Tywi Valley, the village is part of the Llanarthney community, home to the nearby National Botanic Garden of Wales. Llanarthney and its environs provide a serene and picturesque setting, creating an ideal retreat. The village and its community have a rural charm and a close-knit atmosphere, characteristic of many Welsh villages. There is a farmers’ market once a week in the village hall to buy fresh produce, and a milk shed to buy fresh milk, both opposite the cottage. The Pembrokeshire falconry is just 0.5 miles away. The town of Carmarthen (9 miles) adds a touch of urban convenience to the rural surroundings. Additionally, a visit to Llandeilo and the nearby Dinefwr Park and Castle (8.5 miles), offers a charming excursion amidst historical and natural wonders.

This family home has been beautifully finished throughout and provides a lovely, comfortable, luxurious space for large extended families. Enter the property through the main entrance into a large spacious hallway. From here you can access the roomy living room with comfy soft sofas and a large TV. For a quiet read and relaxation, there is a smaller snug room, with soft seating and a TV. The fully fitted kitchen with a dining area is equipped with everything you need for creating a sumptuous meal. The utility room is also accessed from here, as well as a convenient shower. Upstairs there is a mezzanine landing with a seating area and beautiful views. On this first floor, there are two super-king-size bedrooms, one twin room and one super-king-size, which can be made up as a twin if required. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms and the master bedroom also includes a bath. There is a separate shower room and a Jack and Jill bathroom shared by the other two bedrooms. Heading up to the second floor, there are two king-size bedrooms, both of which can be made up as twins on request, an office space, and both bedrooms share a large shower room.

The garden can be reached through bi-fold doors from the kitchen. The garden is enclosed and has a patio area with a table and chairs for some al fresco dining, as well as further outdoor seating. There is a children’s playground in the community field opposite as well as a dog park.

Reviews

Great location

Mr S,

Amazing house and great location.

Mr M,

The house was beautiful and had a great space for all of us. Kitchen well equipped and furniture comfortable. Good options with the zip and link beds. Unfortunately this was let down by a soiled pair of pants in the eaves cupboard next to the bed in one of the rooms which made the room stink and made me wonder how thoroughly the rest of the property had been cleaned. I sent an email about this on the first night and 2 weeks later no response or apology which is unacceptable.

Mr J,

Thank you for a wonderful holiday. The house was beautiful and in such a lovely location. Spotlessly clean. Even with 11 people and two dogs in our party, it didn’t feel at all crowded. A great base to explore the surrounding area.

Mrs M,
