Reviews

Superb property, perfect location and excellent communication from the owners. Everything about this place was spot on for what we wanted. The location is unreal and very remote - stunning place.

Mr B,

A stunning location with great walks and amazing wildlife (we had the local sheep, deer and cows in the fields approaching the house and a huge variety of birds and a baby hare visiting the garden each day). If you want to get away from everything this is the ideal place.

Mrs B,

Map

The location of this cottage is very special in a little-known area of the Snowdonia National Park. Once here you may find you don't want to move much, just exploring what is on your doorstep. Should you decide to venture out the nearest town of Dolgellau is a traditional market town and has a good selection of shops, cafes and pubs. An amazing drive over a remote mountain road takes you to the town and lake at Bala for water sports and boat hire on Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) and the little steam Railway at Llanuwchlyn. There are a network of paths and bridleways to explore and quiet roads for cyclists. For mountain bikers you are located close the trail centre at the Coed Y Brenin, which also has a good cafe, forest walking trails, orienteering courses and a good children's play area and discovery trails. The family bike trail at Traswsfynydd is also a short drive away. Day trips could be taken to the nearest beach resorts at Porthmadog and Harlech and the Italianate village at Portmeirion,
