Description

A delightful former farmhouse, renovated to make the most of local stone and oak, situated in the Coed y Brenin forest, 6 miles north of Dolgellau and 9 miles south of Trawsfynydd, in the Snowdonia National Park. A short drive takes you to some lovely sandy beaches on the coast, including Barmouth and Fairbourne. The house is located 1.75 miles up a forestry track, above the village of Ganllwyd. Excellent walking and mountain biking from the door and lovely mountain views from some of the rooms, conservatory, balcony and grounds.

Tyddyn Bwlch will suit extended family or a group of friends keen on the great outdoors, and pets are welcome (but the grounds are not guaranteed secure for dogs and there are sheep in the surrounding fields.

Ground floor

Spacious kitchen diner with fitted units, large range cooker (electric oven and gas hob), extractor hood, integrated fridge, integrated dishwasher, microwave, breakfast bar and two stools, impressive oak dining table and 10 chairs. Utility room adjacent with washing machine and integrated freezer, and a ground floor shower room with shower cubicle, WC, basin. An additional chest freezer is available if required. L shaped sitting room with three sofas, FreeSat TV, DVD player, wood burning stove and open fire. Adjacent conservatory with cane suite and wonderful views of the Cadair Idris mountain range.

1st floor

Picnic benches, barbecue, storage for bikes etc. Parking for several cars adjacent to the house; the grounds are gated, with fencing and stone walling, but not guaranteed secure for dogs; adjacent unused outbuildings are semi-derelict and there is a small stream running close by, so children and pets should be supervised
