Reviews

We spent Christmas here my daughter and family came over and we wanted somewhere we could all be together! As we drove up the road to the property we were totally in love with the house lit up beautifully for Christmas we couldn't wait to get inside! I forgot the code in all the excitement and rang the owner who answered straight away and came over to let us know how to use the gorgeous hot tub! Hearing my family walk around the house full of excitement and compliments about how beautiful the house was I knew we had made the right choice on our Christmas home for the week. Stepping outside to the view of the sea literally takes your breath away you couldn't ask for more! Soon we had the log burner fired up and we tucked into the lovely cake the owner had left for us in the welcome pack xx Plenty of logs for the entire week but the house was lovely warm and cosy anyway! The bathrooms are spotless and the showers are perfect with a beautiful smelling hand wash and soft clean towels and plenty of huge towels for using around the hot tub. Every bed was so comfortable with good quality bedding spotlessly clean. Kitchen area had everything you could possibly need! 2 dishwashers and 2 ovens certainly came in handy with our lot! Plenty of space in the fridge and freezer both larder style again very clean! The dining area couldn't have been more perfect for everyone at meal times jigsaws and craft times. I could go on for hours about this wonderful house but take my word for it and book some time in this beautiful home, you won't want to leave........x Even the storm we had was exciting for everyone to watch with the lightning over the sea!! Thank you owner for making our special family Christmas perfect! X

Miss Anna H,

Map

This large, detached sea view accommodation is set on the outskirts of the tranquil and unspoilt village of Rhiw. In an elevated position it is ideally placed for enjoying one of the best views on the Llyn Peninsula, if not the whole of Wales. The view of Porth Neigwl (Hells Mouth) and Snowdonia, over to Pembrokeshire on a clear day are breathtaking.

The beautiful coastal village of Aberdaron (4 miles) offers several cafes, shops, bakery and two pubs serving food. The village of Sarn Mellteyrn (also 4 miles) also offers a village shop, butchers, pottery, garage and two pubs. In addition to the Ship and Ty Newydd in Aberdaron, Venetia and Coconut Kitchen in Abersoch (6.5 miles) are also recommended for eating out, as are Bryncynan and Nanhoron Arms in Nefyn (12.5 miles). For a relaxing drink, the two pubs in Aberdaron offer a lovely setting.

The Llyn Peninsula is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, where the Welsh language and way of life still flourish. It is full of hidden treasures that are just waiting to be discovered and it is also renowned for its beaches and watersports. Plas yn Rhiw, a National Trust early 17th-century manor house with an ornamental garden and wonderful views is within walking distance of your sea view accommodation. It is also worth visiting the pub on the beach in Porthdinllaen and the sacred Bardsey Island (Ynys Enlli) by boat. With nearly 100 miles of stunning coastline it is also worth exploring the coastal path that goes all the way around the Llyn Peninsula.

Nant Gwrtheyrn Language and Heritage Centre (17 miles) is another great attraction within its own hidden bay by the sea. For a fun day out visit Glasfryn Park (go karts, ten pin bowling etc) or if you wish to relax, Plas Glyn-y-Weddw offers a magnificent Manor with galleries, beautiful gardens and tea room with sea views. Snowdon (the highest mountain in Wales), Ffestiniog Railway, Cricieth and Caernarfon castles and the Italian village of Portmeirion also offer great days out.
